Excursion tips for families

Archery, barbecue, building birdhouses ... the year-round children's programme at Baiersbronn Touristik always has other great offers for our little guests. Murgel's playhouse is the home of Murgel, the funny mascot of Baiersbronn. Romping around, fooling around, painting and handicrafts are part of his programme - everything that children enjoy.

For exuberant water fun the outdoor pool offers a water slide for little water fans only 500 m away - by the way, this is just one of five outdoor pools in the Baiersbronn area.

In winter, the outdoor pools turn into an indoor ice rink and a tobogganing run. And you may get into a snowball fight in which young and old laugh wholeheartedly.

Excursion tips for families in the Black Forest

From children's music museum to amusement park - the Black Forest is one of the most beautiful travel destinations in Germany, not only because of the landscape. The wonderful location of our children's hotel encourages you to be active and also offers great destinations for excursions:

  • Fairy Tale Museum Flip through fairy tale books, do handicrafts, paint and watch films of the Augsburg Marionette Theatre. And learn more about the fact that Wilhelm Hauff wrote the fairy tale "The Cold Heart" in Baiersbronn.
  • Kurbähnle Freudenstadt A colourful hop-on-hop-off train tour takes you through Freudenstadt.
  • Experimenta - the crazy adventure museum: Fancy an aha effect? Experimenting in the adventure museum is explicitly wanted. See, marvel, understand: Uh-huh!
  • Teddy bear oldie library Which is the cutest teddy bear? The choice is huge. After all, the Teddy Bear Museum in Freudenstadt is home to about 15,000 stuffed animals.
  • Wolf and bear park Meet real bears and wolves in Bad Rippoldsau-Schapbach. You may not often have the chance to do so. An unforgettable experience.
  • Freudenstadt exhibition mine Helmet on and into the mountain. Narrow tunnels, low shafts. Experience how the miners worked centuries ago when silver was mined here.
  • Panorama pool Water fun on one of three great long water slides! Your children will rejoice in the Panorama pool in Freudenstadt.
  • Europa Park With the raft through the jungle, with the Alpine Express over hills and valleys. Pure thrill in the roller coasters. Shows to cheer and laugh along. Europa-Park with over 100 attractions is only 100 km away.
  • Barefoot Park Dornstetten Sometimes it tickles, sometimes it pricks a litte ... It is a small adventure to walk barefoot over pebbles, wood and through water. Total distance: 2.4 km (1.4 m) Admission is free of charge.
  • Bobsleigh run Ride a bobsleigh in summer and winter over waves, through tunnels, in steep curves ... The bobsleigh run at Mehliskopf is only 15 minutes away from our holiday hotel in the Black Forest.
  • Forest climbing garden Be a little closer to the treetops. From stop to stop over ropes and suspension bridges. Or hovering over a valley at a height of 30 m. Venture onto the trees in the forest climbing gardens in Enzklösterle, at Mehliskopf and in Dornstetten-Hallwangen.
  • Minigolf courses Always fun ... getting the minigolf balls into the hole on ingenious courses in Lossburg or Freudenstadt. The minigolf course in Klosterreichenbach are extraordinary - they are made entirely of natural materials as well as in the Adventure Golf Park in Enzklösterle.
  • Toccarion Children's Music Museum A giant recorder for many children's hands, a walk-on keyboard on which children can dance to the music ... In the Children's Music Museum in Baden-Baden, music fans between 5 and 12 years of age can experience instruments and sounds.
